Site “GULAG. History of one camp” is devoted to the history of Perm-36, the last political zone of the Soviet Union, and the Public Museum, which was created on the remains of this zone by a group of enthusiasts.
Nowadays the museum complex in Kuchino village, Perm Region, with all its collections, archives, expositions and exhibitions collected over 20 years, is seized bythe regional authorities of the Perm Region.
Our project is an attempt to create a universal model of a museum, which exists in the virtual space and, at the same time, implements almost all kinds of activities of a real museum: scientific, educational, exhibition and excursion.
The project is greatly supported by the International Coalition of Museums of Conscience, which was founded in 1999 with the participation of the Public Museum “Perm 36”.
